The city of Burbank is where most of the film district is nowadays; the neighborhood of Hollywood itself is mostly tourist attractions and below-the-line parts of the industry (editing, effects, props, lighting, post-production). Disney, Universal, and Warner Bros.' studios are all in the Valley, with Paramount the only studio still physically based in Hollywood (though 20th Century Fox and Sony are also on the Westside). This is where Carmen lived during her teens and early 20s.
Burbank High School

1258 E. Elmwood Avenue
This East Elmwood Avenue home belongs to the Colombera family. It is a spacious 2,626 square foot, two-story Spanish Colonial Revival home, built in 1927, and located in the Burbank hillside area. Carmen lived in this petite villa during her teens and early 20s. During the summer, her parents offered their home as a "secret escape" to many Hollywood stars. Carmen's father lived here until his eventual divorce from her mother in 1950.
Columbia Ranch is a back lot of Columbia Pictures located in Burbank, CA. This is where Columbia Pictures films a majority of their outdoor scenes, as the ranch offers more room than their Hollywood studio lot. The ranch is where Carmen made it as a bit character actress, before moving on to auditioning for the bigger roles.
